We're not the tastefully discrete "alternative lifestyle" section often buried somewhere on a big name mainstream travel site or a lone gay agent in a straight travel agency who has slapped up a website trying to profit from the pink dollar. Travel (in all its forms) for gay men and lesbian is all we do. We devote much time and energy to keep on top of the latest gay and lesbian travel trends. We take a lot of effort to see destinations and experience the vacation options that we think would be of interest to you. We have invested a lot of money and time to build a one-of-a-kind booking engine that combines both gay and lesbian with everyday travel to so you have one stop shopping. Are all the packages on conxity.com exclusively gay and/or lesbian?
Most of the trips in the Gay and Lesbian and Cruise sections of conxity.com are for gay and lesbian travellers. Some trips are exclusively for gay men while others are exclusively for lesbians. A small number of these trips are "gay group departures" on mainstream cruises. But you can search by "audience" to find a trip with just the right type of fellow traveller.
But what if I don't want a "gay" holiday and I just want a beach vacation package or a couple of weeks in Europe... can conxity.com help with those kinds of trips too?
We know that most of the travel gay men and lesbians do is not specificially "gay". You may need a flight for work, to visit friends or family or for a do-it-yourself holiday. And chances are a car or hotel might come in handy too once you're there. So we also offer flights, cars, hotels and vacation packages from everyday tour companies - at prices.that are as good as (if not better than) those you can find at the big online travel sites.
In particular, look for the RHV branded airfares (right now only available on flights from Canada to the United States and other international destinations). These fares often involve substantial savings - below even fares available directly from the airline.
Why are some prices in Canadian dollar and others in US dollars?
We want to give you the broadest possible range of gay and lesbian vacation options, so we feature holidays from companies all over the world. Many of these companies are based in the United States and offer prices in US dollars. Similarly, Canadian companies have Canadian dollar prices while some European companies have rates in euros. For now, all prices are shown in Canadian dollars. Cruises are the only exception where all prices are in US dollars. Within a few months you will be able to choose the currency in which you want all prices to be displayed.
Even though the prices may initially appear in Canadian dollars, once begin reviewing the details of the trip the price in the original currency will be displayed. In most cases you will be charged the price in this currency. Your credit card company will automatically converted the charge into your local currency when it is processed. And remember that your credit card company will probably add a currency conversion fee (ranging from 2% to 5%) to this transaction charge.
