What We Don't Like About The Dreams
Because of its location, you will probably end up taking a taxi everywhere - even to get to the gay beach. The walk into the old town is along a fairly busy road and you'll probably find it's just more convenient to spend the $3 or $4 to grab a cab. There's no particular gay vibe about the Dreams but, like most hotels of this calibre, the staff are extremely professional and properly welcoming. Be prepared for a lot of families with kids over the Christmas and Easter holidays. Unless bubbles in your bath are really going to make your vacation, skip the junior suite with jacuzzi. Because it's probably the nicest hotel in this part of Vallarta, it tends to sell out well in advance - so book early.

What We Do Like About The Dreams
The beach is the best thing we like about The Dreams. If you don't need to spend all your time on the gay beach, the stretch of sand right outside the hotel is probably one of the nicest in the area. Although the beach isn't private, it's located on a cove and relatively isolated from the main beach area so there are far fewer pan handlers and vendors to bother you. The water (which can get rough along other parts of the bay) tends to be calmer. The food is excellent. The Dreams is a nice choice if you want to have a quieter, relaxing holiday but still have access to all the fun and partying that Puerto Vallarta has to offer..
